We decided it was time to start transitioning Karys out of the crib. She still wasn't crawling out but she's so tall she could have just leaned over and flipped out, plus we didn't want to run into "the baby stole my bed" issues down the line. And now I don't have to lift her in and out which is so nice!
For now we just took the side off her crib. She was so excited she wanted to get ready for bed early.
She never woke up but we went and checked on her around midnight and here's how we found her:
Karys has done really really well with the change. But then we'd been talking to her about making the change for almost a month and she finally asked Cameron to take the side off herself. This is the closest to rolling off we've ever found her, and she sleeps wonderfully.

She's been starting to ride my old tricycle.
We had snow! It snowed on us for about 3 days (it snowed little more in other areas nearby), and then it stuck around for about a week before the rain came again and washed it all away. It's definitely different being here when it snows (instead of Rexburg). All schools up and down the coast were shut down all week! Of course the main problem is they don't have enough equipment to deal with snow here (plus people don't know how to drive in it) and also there are a lot more steep hills everywhere. Some hills even snow plows can't make it up. And then with all the trees we have everywhere branches were knocking down power lines so tons of people south of us had no power either. One lady arriving at a hospital had to deliver her baby in an elevator, luckily she had her midwife and a nurse with her. So glad it wasn't me!
Karys finally got to wear her winter stuff! She wanted to wear her snowpants in the house even.
