Aquarium Trip

For New Year's Eve we were originally planning a trip down to see Cameron's family in California, but a combination of obstacles just seemed to keep popping up so we decided to take that trip at a later date.  Sorry we couldn't make it!  We miss you guys and hope to see you soon!

So we redid our plans for the weekend and went up to visit with my family and decided to take Karys to the Vancouver Aquarium which is in Stanley Park (just a little one, its only 1000 acres of land) right by the harbour and downtown.  It was a lot of fun.

 There were big fish
 and even bigger fish
(yes that's the technical name for them)
Funnily enough my favorite part is where there weren't any fish :) mainly because it's super warm in there.  See the birds up in the corner?

more fish

 Karys making her fishy face

They had a 4D Polar Express movie we watched.  Karys was really good but got a little frightened by the loud noises, spraying water, etc
 a prehistoric fish
getting ready to watch the dolphin show
 and the beluga show
Cameron standing in a hollow tree
the beach! it even has a palm tree :) bet you didn't expect to see one of those in Canada eh?
and it also has sand....despite certain rumors being circulated by a certain someone who shall remain nameless that all of the beaches up here are just rocks
