I'm finally getting this post done!....This year (well, technically last year I know) we went to Canada for Christmas and visited my side of the family. We flew out there on December 20th, Cameron's birthday, so we had cake and whatnot when we arrived. Cameron could only stay a week due to work, so he flew back to Rexburg on the 27th, our 2 year anniversary. Not the most romantic way to spend our anniversary but Cameron gave me a wonderful gift by letting Karys and I stay an extra week with my family. My sister Amy is down at Rexburg for school so she helped me on the flight back. Karys was wonderful on the plane rides and pretty much slept the whole way, but it did take her a couple of days to transition upon arrival. It was very exciting for my family that we were able to come up for the holidays since my mom and sister Amy were the only ones to have seen Karys yet. She is the first grandchild for my parents and the first great-grandchild on my father's side. We had tons of fun; especially me, as there were many helping hands around.

Here is Cameron with his birthday card and cake.

Finally meeting the other Grandpa.

Aunt Lisa

4 generation picture...she loved looking at her great-grandma,
we couldn't get her to turn her head away for the picture.

Great-grandpa

On Christmas eve we always open our presents from my maternal grandparents.
This year we all got toques as one of our presents from them.
Karys got her first "Grammy Dress".

Christmas morning.
She was wearing a stocking so we put her with the rest of the stockings.

When Cameron was born his parents put him in an banana box under the tree. Continuing the tradition, Karys was put in an orange box under the tree. The cat was kind of confused as she considers it her place.

Karys received many great gifts...which mom got to open since she decided she needed more sleep. What a smart girl.

And I had to post this because she looked so cute in it. This is her other Christmas outfit , which she wore to the Mitchell Christmas dinner (the extended family) on Boxing Day.

She is adorable and growing so fast! So cute!
Thanks for the post, great to see pictures. Just wait till next year, I doubt she will sleep through Christmas then... By the way Cameron, I love your toque, how appropriate for Rexburg.
